Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Platform Operations Engineer to maintain a large-scale, containerized OSINT platform. You will ensure uptime, reliability, and performance across microservices running on Kubernetes with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and Kafka, collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ certs, and strong Linux/Kubernetes experience, with opportunities to work on AWS cloud infrastructure and modern observability tooling.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master’s.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
• At least one DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II+ certification.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Linux, and containerized environments.
• Experience with cloud services (preferably AWS) and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale production systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime, performance, and capacity planning for a large-scale data platform.
• Lead incident triage, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Define and track reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs).
• Participate in SAFe Agile release planning and cross-team coordination.
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and admins to maintain platform health.
