Job summary

Altron, Inc. in Manassas, Virginia, is seeking a Software Integration Engineer to join the Undersea Warfare Decision Support Team. The role focuses on integration, testing, and deployment of software across diverse environments to support a U.S.

Navy undersea program. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in software or systems engineering, with DevOps and Agile exposure, virtualization and networking experience, and is able to work within a multidisciplinary team. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software/engineering or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of software or systems engineering experience.
• Experience with Red Hat, Windows, and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with oVirt or similar virtualization platforms.
• Familiarity with Jira and Bitbucket.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and switch configuration.
• Experience with PKI certificate exchange and cybersecurity compliance.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform software integration and validation following DevOps lifecycle processes.
• Integrate and test software deliveries, verify bug fixes, and conduct regression testing across configurations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software integration issues including networking and virtualization challenges.
• Support and document test results in line with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams on sprint planning and execution.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes to improve reliability and efficiency.
