Job summary

Solvere Technical Group seeks an experienced Marine Mechanical Engineer (Auxiliary) - Journeyman to support federal shipbuilding and acquisition programs. You will provide engineering expertise in analysis, design, optimization, and integration of shipboard auxiliary systems, supporting data packages, reviews, and trade studies for U.S.

Government maritime programs. The role requires ABET-accredited engineering degree and a minimum of three years in marine auxiliary systems, with familiarity

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, marine engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years designing, optimizing, and integrating marine auxiliary and piping systems.
  • Experience supporting federal shipbuilding or DoD/DHS shipbuilding programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering analysis and design of shipboard auxiliary systems.
  • Develop, review, and maintain technical data packages and engineering documentation.
  • Perform trade studies to evaluate design options and system performance.
  • Design, optimize, and integrate marine auxiliary and piping systems.
  • Perform ship machinery integration analyses and calculations.
  • Conduct cargo handling and weight handling system analyses.
  • Ensure designs comply with ABS, USN, and applicable standards.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide engineering recommendations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and government stakeholders.
