Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD to design and automate infrastructure, tune performance, and manage cloud services in a secure SCIF environment. The role requires strong IaC, Kubernetes, and AWS experience, with focus on CI/CD and compliance across platforms.

The candidate will install, configure, and optimize Kubernetes, Docker, and related tools, while supporting on-call rotations and rigorous security standards for a TS/SCI - Polygraph eligible program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
• 12 years or more of professional experience; or 10 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
• Experience patching, hardening, and maintaining compliance of RHEL.
• Ability to support an on-call rotation.
• Experience installing, configuring, and tuning Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud native logging and metrics collection tools.
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines with GitLab runners and Argo CD.

Responsibilities

• Develop Infrastructure as Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab runners and Argo CD.
• Manage commercial cloud computing platforms (AWS).
