Job summary

D2 Technical Services is seeking a Cloud Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to support a government intelligence program from Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO.

The role focuses on automating deployments, optimizing performance, and maintaining security protocols in an AWS environment. You will work in an agile team, develop full-stack features, mentor junior developers, and implement containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes within a PaaS setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years IT experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements (Security+ CE, CCNA, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud services.
• Automation with Bash/PowerShell/Perl.
• Agile/Scrum experience and DevOps practices.
• CI/CD with GitLab/Jenkins/Nexus.
• TypeScript/JavaScript expertise; Angular frontend.
• Microservices with Docker and Kubernetes.
• PaaS environment support; RDB concepts (Postgres).

Responsibilities

• Maintain security requirements with A&A team.
• Improve infrastructure with autoscaling and cost optimization.
• Produce detailed documentation and unit tests.
• Manage AWS services: EC2, S3, Load Balancer, RDS.
• Automate and optimize deployments; troubleshoot issues.
• Deliver full-stack web app to production; customer meetings.
• Mentor junior developers; participate in design and implementation.
• Develop containerized apps and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
