Job summary

Cogitic Corporation seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Services team in a high-mix, low-volume environment supporting national defense. You will oversee design for manufacturability, additive manufacturing, welding, assembly, and testing, driving continuous improvement and cross-functional support across departments.

The role requires a hands-on leader with 10+ years in mechanical engineering, 5+ years of leadership, and 3+ years in technical project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering & Technology Management preferred.
Minimum 10 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
Minimum 5 years of leadership and supervisory experience in engineering/manufacturing/welding.
Minimum 3 years of technical project management experience.
Ability to pass a background check and hold a security clearance; US citizen.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Engineering Services team to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction in manufacturing activities.
Oversee design for manufacturability, additive manufacturing, welding, assembly, and testing.
Coordinate internal and external engineering functions and project delivery.
Develop technical documentation, drawings, and manuals; interpret 2D/3D drawings.
Ensure safety compliance and support ERP system usage.
