Job summary

Amentum seeks a Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) to support DHS FPS PSD. The role involves initiating background investigations, handling security documents, fingerprinting, and ensuring proper classification of cases.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential. The position requires at least three years of relevant security experience, the ability to obtain a US Public Trust clearance, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant security or intelligence experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government Public Trust security clearance (US citizenship required).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with ISMS, eQIP, CVS, and/or DISS preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiates background investigations and manages receipt of security documents.
• Conducts fingerprinting procedures and verifies levels of background investigation.
• Prepares, submits, monitors, and updates tracking systems for case material.
• Applies incident management and problem-solving to security processes.
• Participates in special projects and other duties as needed.
