Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Security Architect in a hybrid Welkom location to guide our security strategy and blueprint execution. You will shape secure systems and infrastructure, align with business goals, and mentor security professionals.

The role requires directing security standards, overseeing cloud-native and on-prem designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 8+ years in information security, with at least 4 years in security architecture.
• Proven experience designing secure cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of security principles, cryptography, network security, and identity management.
• Experience with risk management frameworks and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organization's security architecture across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Define security standards, guidelines, and best practices for system design and deployment.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies to address emerging threats.
• Lead security architecture reviews for new projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure security requirements are met.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the security team.
