Job summary

State Farm is offering an internship in their Workplace Protection function within the Administrative Services department. The role focuses on security analytics, investigations, risk assessment and incident response, with a hybrid work environment in Bloomington, IL. Dates: June 2, 2027 – August 11, 2027 (10 weeks).

Hours: Monday–Friday, 38.75 hours/week. Hourly rate: $22.00/hour plus a $2,000 stipend (before taxes).

Qualifications

• Current college students (sophomore, junior and seniors) or grad student in relevant fields.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to collect, organize, interpret and present complex data.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
• Forensics analysis, investigation, and technological skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyses, designs, and facilitates capabilities, solutions, or preventative/remediation controls to protect people and data.
• Conducts investigations to protect people, information, and assets.
• Coordinates and reports on security-related projects and incidents.
• Researches emerging security topics and creates governance, policies and risk assessments.
• Monitors and coordinates responses to worldwide events impacting assets and operations.
• Supports incident response, crisis management, and threat management activities.
