Job summary

The Security Analyst at Everforth Apex Systems supports security operations by monitoring activity, tracking vulnerabilities, managing phishing simulations and awareness programs, assisting incident response, and developing security policies and procedures. You will work with the Information Security team to implement controls and promote secure practices across the firm.

This role requires sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in CIS/IT security or related field.
• Security certifications such as GSEC, Security+, CISSP are preferred.
• Experience with cloud security monitoring in Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Defender tools and CrowdStrike.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security activity and review logs for incidents.
• Assist with incident response and remediation documentation.
• Track vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation with IT teams.
• Support phishing simulations and security awareness initiatives.
• Develop and communicate security policies and procedures.
• Evaluate security technologies for risk and effectiveness.
• Educate end users on security requirements and best practices.
