ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a cybersecurity analyst to monitor security events, assess potential threats, and support incident response while coordinating with IT, compliance, and risk management teams.

You will review logs, follow incident response playbooks, and help implement mitigation measures. A current Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–3 years experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or related IT security activities; relevant training or supervised practical experience may support entry-level readiness.
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, common attack methods, indicators of compromise, and safeguards for confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Foundational ability to review security alerts and logs, follow incident response procedures, and escalate when needed.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Monitor SIEM queues and alerts from security tools to identify suspicious activity.
• Perform initial alert triage by reviewing severity and supporting evidence.
• Review and correlate logs to identify patterns and establish incident scope and timelines.
• Follow incident response playbooks and document actions taken.
• Assist senior analysts with security assessments and mitigation verification.
• Maintain incident records with evidence and disposition.
