Job Details

This is a Boston-based hybrid role with regular in-office expectations. The position is not fully remote, and candidates must be able to work onsite in Boston on the designated days.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, analyze, and process security events to identify and protect university assets.
  • Help process results from vulnerability scans to help mitigate risk.
  • Assist with maintaining security procedures to ensure they remains current.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks Take part in an on-call duty cycle, monitoring tools and providing 24x7 availability to respond to security events when needed.
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated interest and 2 or more years of experience in the cyber security field.
  • Familiarity with one or more security tools such as information and event management (SIEM) systems, vulnerability scanners, end point protection software, firewalls. Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, DMCA, and NIST.

  • Experience using ServiceNow
  • ITIL Certificate
  • One or more relevant GIAC, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent certifications
