Overview

**This position is currently offering a $2,500 Sign On Bonus!**

Interface is seeking an experienced Security Alarm Technician. In this position, you will diagnose and resolve application issues while maintaining Fire Alarm, TCP/IP Networks, Video Surveillance, Access Control & Wireless solutions. As a Security Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing and servicing security and video surveillance systems, wireless devices, and cabling. This will include installing various electronic components and cables, including terminating, commissioning, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain Intrusion, Fire, Video Surveillance, Network, and VoIP integrated systems.
• Work in the field with the most efficient methods to solve service issues.
• Train customers on Interface-provided systems.
• Maintain acceptable and accurate inventory levels by conducting physical inventory counts.
• Verify and submit all documentation for inventoried items according to company policy.
• Install and terminate network and security cabling.
• Firestopping various types of cable penetrations.
• Understand, adhere to, and promote OSHA Health & Safety policies.
• Interface with customer contacts on projects and service requests.
• Coordinate with vendors and end-users for each project.
• Hands-on field interaction with customers at the site level.
• Maintain assigned vehicle and tools.
• The position is full-time and may include rotating on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Vocational/Technical/Business School preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• NICET Certification is a plus.
• Verifiable field experience.
• Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of telecom, data, security, and wireless systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass applicable background checks.
• Comfortable using small hand tools and power tools.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to travel overnight.
• Physical ability for dexterity, lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a field technician in the electronic security industry.
