Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and according to dealership standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional needed services and provide estimates.
- Execute repairs under warranty per manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications:
- Diesel experience is a plus.
- Previous experience at an automotive dealership.
- GM experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the service drive.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Dexterity and steady hand skills.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Positive, friendly attitude with a customer service mentality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with effective collaboration skills.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
