Job description

Flexjet is currently seeking an experienced, certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to join our team. This role involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems. The AMT will conduct repairs and tests to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely. Please note, this position requires night shifts.

Location: Cleveland, Ohio at the Cuyahoga County Airport.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform all airframe and powerplant repairs and modifications to meet company and FAA standards.
  • Remove and disassemble defective parts; assemble and install replacements; test aircraft systems.
  • Operate all necessary power tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, including time reporting.
  • Support company policies and safety programs, including OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License is required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant aviation experience, preferably with corporate aircraft.
  • At least 2 years of fleet experience is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Parts 145, 135, and 121.
  • Sheet metal experience is a plus but not mandatory.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Motivated, able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Windows and MS Office.
  • Proven inspection skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Company will provide specialized aircraft tooling.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The role involves exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions. The work environment can be loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees must be able to talk, hear, stand, walk, handle tools, reach, and occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
