Hyatt Sacramento Downtown is seeking a professional Security Agent to join our 24/7 security team. You will maintain a visible security presence across lobby, public areas, and parking facilities while delivering exceptional guest service and enforcing hotel policies.

Responsibilities include monitoring CCTV and access control, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and writing clear incident reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security experience.
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods; lift ~40 lbs; climb stairs.
• Exposure to hot and cold weather.
• Proficient with reporting software.
• English literacy in reading and writing.
• High School Diploma or GED.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a professional, service-oriented Security Agent to join our team at a high-profile downtown hospitality property with 24/7 security operations. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment and understand that hospitality security is built on visibility, professionalism, and exceptional guest interaction.

Our Security Agents are responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests, associates, and visitors while upholding the highest standards of service and professionalism.

This is an hourly position with a compensation of $23.14 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a visible security presence throughout the property, including lobby, public areas, back-of-house, and parking facilities
• Deliver exceptional customer service while enforcing property policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine patrols and safety inspections
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and safety concerns
• Write clear, accurate, and detailed incident reports
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Communicate effectively with guests, team members, management, and first responders
• Support emergency response procedures and life safety protocols
• Abide by Post Orders and organizational standards

Qualifications

• One year minimum of security experience
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. To include, but not limited to; standing, walking, lifting approximately 40lbs, and climbing multiple flights of stairs
• Comfortable with periods of exposure to hot and cold weather
• Proficient computer and cellphone skills. This role requires the use of application based reporting software
• Intermediate to advance literacy in English reading and writing
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Previous hospitality security experience preferred
• Valid CA BSIS Issued Guard Card
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current CPR/AED & First Aid certification (Red Cross or ASHI)
• Report writing and investigative skills with attention to detail
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• ASIS or ALHEI certifications for roles
• Supporting training, education, and professional development.
• Comfortable using security technology systems (CCTV, access control, incident reporting software, etc.)
• Demonstrated customer service mindset
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach to safety
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Strong situational awareness and sound judgment
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Associate and above College Degree; Preferably Criminal Justice, Business, or Computer Sciences focused
