Job summary

Hollywood Casino Aurora in Illinois is seeking a Security Ambassador to safeguard assets, guests, and team members. You will escort gaming chips, supervise end-of-day drops, and help maintain safety standards while upholding state gaming regulations.

Candidates must be 21+, have a HS diploma or equivalent, English proficiency, basic math, be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and hold a valid IL driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and apply to practical situations.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Physical mobility up to 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard assets, guests, and team members.
• Escort gaming chips, tokens, cash, and other assets to appropriate personnel.
• Supervise the end of gaming day drop.
• Oversee the counting of tokens.
• Prepare security reports in a timely manner and ensure accurateness and completeness.
• Know the procedures for Security Control locations, i.e., Key/Badge Logs, Fire Alarm Panel, cameras and related security areas.
• Demonstrate and follow emergency procedures of the Security Department.
• Assist the maintenance department in an emergency condition.
• Responsible for the proper usage of equipment, e.g. radios, handcuffs, cameras, and ID scanners.
• Responsible for Alcohol Awareness Initiative and ensures guests over 21 may be in the casino.
• Address individuals not wearing an Illinois Gaming Board Identification Badge in non-public areas.
• Escort individuals with admitted gaming issues to the IGB Agent dockside.
• Report suspicious activity.
• Maintain First Aid/AED certification.
• Respond to medical emergencies and illness/injury reports.
• Promote and lead ACES of PENN program to guests.

Essential Responsibilities

Escort gaming chips, tokens, cash, and other assets to the appropriate personnel

Supervise the end of gaming day drop

Know the procedures for both Security Control locations, i.e., Sensitive Key and Temporary - Badge Logs, Fire Alarm Panel, for Man Trap, Administrative Building, i.e., Cameras and Fire - Panel, and the Security Vehicle

Demonstrate and follow the emergency procedures of the Security Department

Assist the maintenance department in an emergency condition

Responsible for the proper usage of equipment, i.e. radios, handcuffs, cameras, and ID scanners

Responsible for Alcohol Awareness Initiative and ensures that only Guests over 21 years of age are allowed in the casino

Address any individual not wearing an Illinois Gaming Board Identification Badge found in non-public areas

Escort individuals who have an admitted gaming issue to the dockside IGB Agent

Report suspicious activity

Maintain First Aid/AED certification

Respond to medical emergencies and complete Illness/Injury reports

Promote and lead in our ACES of PENN program to external and internal guests that perpetuate Hollywood Casino’s commitment towards quality guest service
