Job summary

Lakefront Anchorage, part of Millennium Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Security Agent to safeguard guests and property while delivering warm, hospitality-driven service in Alaska's scenic setting. You will patrol the premises, write incident reports, assist investigations, process items lost by guests, and coordinate emergency responses with calm professionalism.

Excellent communication, guest focus, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in security or hospitality is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol the facility to ensure guest and staff safety.
  • Write incident and accident reports clearly and promptly.
  • Participate in investigations as required by management.
  • Process items lost by guests, employees, and visitors.
  • Maintain order and respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.
  • Escort guests and staff as needed to ensure safety.

About the Role: Security Agent

As our Security Agent, you will play an integral role in delivering an exceptional guest experience while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

You are the face of the hotel—creating first impressions and memorable guest moments. Your energy, attention to detail, and service mindset will directly shape the guest experience and bring our brand to life.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • To conduct patrols of entire facility to ensure the safest environment possible for all guests, patrons, visitors, employees, etc.
  • Write incident and accident reports
  • Participate in security investigations as required by management
  • Processing of items lost by guests, employees and visitors within the facility
  • Maintain order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, e.g., assisting with door lock problems, coordinate expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, fire or safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
  • Handle undesired conduct, violations of hotel policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of hotel guests, employees, patrons and property.
  • Memorize and monitor life safety system installed at property including layout of entire building, alarm pull stations, location of fire extinguisher and sprinklers.
  • Escort guests and employees as required to parking lots, provide same for employees carrying house banks

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Be professional in all interactions with guests and associates.
  • Ability to listen effectively, speak, read and write English clearly to ascertain and document important information.
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner and respond with timeliness.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift.
  • Previous security experience preferably in a hotel environment.
Education (Optional / Adjustable)
