Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology in Bedford, MA seeks a Security Administration/Visitor Control professional to support entry control and security operations on a construction site. You will greet visitors, verify clearances, issue badges, log entries, and help enforce SOPs while coordinating with site leadership and security personnel.

Responsibilities include screening visitors and packages, performing inspections, maintaining logs, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in special programs security preferred, but entry-level training available.
• Valid CAG certification desirable (CDSE Websites).
• Security Clearance: Secret; ability to obtain TS with SCI and SAP eligibility; CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Check identification of all visitors and ensure sponsorship/clearance via DISS or local database.
• Determine visitor need to enter, log entries, issue badges, and notify hosts.
• Ensure visitors do not bring prohibited items (cell phones, drives, etc.).
• Assist with inspecting bags and hand-carried items for government personnel.
• Receive and distribute packages per site procedures.
• Verify authorized access badges for personnel; enforce badge display.
• Participate in emergency procedures (bomb threat, active shooter, fire evacuation).
• Account for logs, instructions, equipment and badges at shift start/end.
• Assist with personnel, information, program security and entry control functions.
• Deny introduction of prohibited materials; conduct site inspections for violations.
• Escalate suspicious materials/incidents to site security manager or CST.
• Maintain Secure Storage Area (SSA) within construction site footprint.
• Screen non-cleared workers, vehicles, and equipment entering/exiting.
• Follow customers' SOPs; provide administrative support as directed.
