Job summary

FXI is seeking a Security & Logistics Gate Operator to manage the facility's access control, inspecting drivers, trailers, and vehicles to ensure only authorized personnel enter the site. Excellent communication with drivers and team members is expected to coordinate arrivals and maintain orderly gate operations.

This role covers inbound and outbound trailer processing, yard monitoring, and meticulous documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage facility access control and gate operations, inspecting drivers, trailers, and vehicles to ensure only authorized personnel enter.
• Log and coordinate inbound trailer processing, verify BOLs, paperwork, seals, and timing to assign docks and track movements.
• Oversee outbound trailer processing, confirm documentation, seal numbers, and load details before departure and log release times.
• Conduct routine yard checks, report anomalies or safety hazards, and communicate with shipping, receiving and operations teams.
• Maintain accurate logs of inbound/outbound movements, compile incident reports when needed, and track missing paperwork or damaged trailers.

Job description

• Access Control - Monitor and control entry and exit of all trucks, trailers, and visitors, Verify Driver identification and authorization before granting access- Maintain a secure and organized gate operation.
• Inbound Trailer Processing - Check in all incoming trailers and drivers - Verify Bills of Lading (BOL), delivery paperwork, and seal numbers - Inspect trailers for damage, proper seals, and safety compliance - Record arrival times and assign dock locations as needed seals, and safety compliance - Record arrival times and assign dock locations as needed.
• Outbound Trailer Processing - Verify outbound shipment documentation and authorization - Confirm trailer numbers , seal numbers, and load details - Ensure trailers are properly sealed before departure - Log departure times and release trailers from the facility.
• Yard Monitoring - Conduct routine yard checks to ensure trailer security and organization- Report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or discrepancies - Communicate with shipping, receiving, and operations teams.
• Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate logs of all inbound and outbound movements - Complete incident reports when necessary - Track late arrivals, missing paperwork, or damaged trailers.
