Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Investment Data Specialist to own security master reference data, driving data integrity across trading, compliance, and front-office interfaces. The role emphasizes data delivery, risk management, and collaboration with operations, technology, and research teams.

Candidates should bring 7+ years in investment data, preference for security master experience, and proficiency with Eagle PACE/RDC, Charles River, and major data vendors.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree (B.S. or B.A) with an excellent academic record.
• At least 7 years of prior investment data experience.
• Strong preference for security reference master experience at an investment manager, service provider or broker-dealer.
• Experience with Eagle PACE, Eagle RDC, Charles River, FactSet, Bloomberg and Yield Book preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain accurate security master reference data.
• Analyze and resolve complex data exceptions to ensure accurate data delivery to trading and compliance systems and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate with firm stakeholders regarding security master reference data inquiries.
• Interface with front office teams to maintain integrity of investment-related data.
• Set up and maintain security characteristics and pricing data in internal systems.
• Participate in firm-wide initiatives and projects, including new product implementations.
• Review investment data needs and ensure system readiness.
• Evaluate existing processes to improve quality and efficiency.
• Offer process enhancements and support management decisions for timely execution.
• Collaborate with Investment Operations, Technology, Research Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and Traders.
• Formulate operational strategy, manage operational risk, and create and document efficient workflows.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
