Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Investment Analytics Specialist to produce and maintain reports on portfolio and benchmark holdings, attribution, and manager performance. You will respond to client requests and conduct complex product analysis using third-party tools.

This role emphasizes data integrity, automation, and collaboration with marketing and investment teams to deliver insights and lead data-driven projects across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of performance measurement and/or analytical experience within the financial services industry.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
• Competency with investment systems, data providers, and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with Seismic, Advent APX, Archer, Orion, Charles River, FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, eVestment, and related analytics tools.

Job description

• Produce and maintain scheduled and ad hoc reports related to portfolio and benchmark holdings, attribution, manager performance, peer rank, and characteristics
• Respond to client and prospect requests and conduct complex product analysis
• Automate deliverables and maintain data integrity through standardized processes for management, investment teams, marketing, and client service
• Leverage FactSet PA, FactSet SPAR, Bloomberg, eVestment, Morningstar Direct, and other third-party tools
• Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that meet business requirements
• Partner with marketing on Seismic, the firm's content management system
• Produce and map existing data sources, create new data sources, write queries, and implement process improvements
• Lead projects and initiatives related to product data and the industry
• Analyze current processes, improve efficiency, and rebuild processes where needed
• Serve as a product specialist and primary owner of key investment analytics systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or a relevant field
• 2 or more years of performance measurement and/or analytical experience within the financial services industry
• Technical understanding of markets, securities, with fixed income a priority, portfolio construction, investment systems, performance, composites, and product analysis
• Excellent overall computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in several software packages
• Strong ability in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Macros
• Competency with investment systems, data providers, and analytics tools
• Experience or familiarity with Seismic, Advent APX, Archer, Orion, Charles River, FactSet, Bloomberg, CAPS, Snowflake, Morningstar Direct, eVestment, and FactSet Analytics
• CIPM, CFA, or other industry professional designations desirable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize competing demands, and solve problems critically and creatively
