Job summary

Farmers and Merchants Bank of Long Beach is seeking a Securities-Based Lending Product Manager to lead the end-to-end SBL program, from design to ongoing management. The role focuses on SBLOCs, policy development, risk governance, and technology enablement, reporting to Credit Administration.

The candidate will oversee cross-functional collaboration with Credit, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Technology to ensure scalable, compliant workflows and a strong risk framework for the bank’s SBL

Qualifications

• 7–12+ years of progressive experience in securities-based lending, private banking, wealth management lending, or related credit products.
• Experience managing lending products or portfolios within a regulated financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of credit administration, underwriting, collateral management, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of the SBL platform, including product structure and workflows.
• Develop and maintain SBL policies, procedures, and controls with risk and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across Credit, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and business lines to ensure readiness.
• Establish product parameters for SBLOCs, including advance rates and collateral criteria.
• Develop underwriting standards, approval authorities, and exception management processes.
• Ensure governance, risk controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
