Job summary

Merrill Wealth Management in Los Angeles seeks an experienced Credit Securities Based Lending Specialist to deliver SBL solutions to clients, partnering with Merrill advisors and risk teams to grow loan balances.

Responsibilities include loan structuring, credit approvals, and ongoing portfolio monitoring. You will mentor associates and expand advisor engagement, with Series 7 and 63/66 licenses required for the role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in commercial or wealth management lending or providing wealth management solutions in partnership with advisors.
• FINRA 7 and 63 (or 66) licenses required or must be completed within 120 days of start date.
• Strong oral and written communication; ability to collaborate with Merrill leadership and advisors to deliver SBL solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partners with relationship management to assess clients' credit needs and create solutions.
• Leads loan structure conversations and negotiates loan documentation with clients and partners.
• Drives credit and risk approval processes for new originations, renewals and modifications.
• Monitors portfolio credit quality in line with regulations and policies.
• Drives growth of funded loans and revenue while managing risk.
