Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, is seeking an Injection Technician in Greensboro, NC to load proprietary banking keys into payment devices with high accuracy. You will handle key loading equipment, confirm orders, perform diagnostics, backups, and daily production tracking.

The role requires an Associate's degree in a technical field or related computer discipline and the ability to stand during shifts, with PCI/EMV experience preferred to support secure payment systems.

• Perform daily backups of key loading equipment.
• Limit contacts with bank associates for data transfer.
• Maintain documentation for injection numbers and serials.
• Perform final unit inspection for functionality and order compliance.
• Provide technical assistance to coworkers.
• Initiate and lead problem-solving and Kaizen efforts.
• Participate in Kaizen events.
• Support manufacturing operations.
• Update production tracking charts daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

Purpose of Position

Injection of proprietary bank/network keys into GSMs, PIN pads, SPOT devices, NGP devices and other payment devices as they are introduced, using a variety of injection equipment and keys. 100% accuracy is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operates key loading equipment to inject proprietary bank/network keys and applications into secure payment devices.
• Receives/confirms orders/parts through company order entry/part tracking system.
• Performs limited diagnostics on devices to determine correct injections/operational status.
• Performs daily backup procedures of key loading equipment as required.
• Limited contact with some bank/network associates for injection data (results/logs) transfer, including sending e-mails or creating/sending CDs that contain injection data.
• Maintain proper documentation for injection numbers as they relate to serial numbers.
• Perform final unit inspection (tollgate), verifying functionality and compliance to order specifications.
• Provide technical assistance to workplace associates.
• Initiate and lead problem solving/process improvement efforts.
• Participate in kaizen events.
• Support manufacturing operations.
• Update production tracking charts daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

Background and Skill

• Associate's (or higher) degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing), or a computer-related field (required)
