Job summary

EWASTE+ is seeking an IT Asset Processing Technician for our Scotia location. The role combines secure data destruction, asset processing, diagnostics, and customer service with up to 20% travel to client sites in the Capital Region.

Ideal candidates have strong hardware knowledge, familiarity with IT equipment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook/Excel/Word). Pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technology quickly.
• Experience with desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment, and other hardware.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to identify components and understand hardware specs.
• Experience performing diagnostic testing and basic hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform secure data sanitization on devices using approved software and procedures.
• Serialize and document assets with accurate records and maintain chain-of-custody.
• Process assets and perform secure data destruction at the Scotia facility.
• Conduct diagnostic testing and basic hardware troubleshooting.
• Travel to customer locations up to 20% for on-site serialization and data destruction services.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and asset tracking.
• Represent EWASTE+ professionally with customers.
• Follow company safety, security, and compliance procedures.
