Job summary

Cydecor in Reston, VA is seeking a Software Developer to join the MARS Infrastructure Team. You will build frontend-focused solutions using Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and collaborate with backend services. U.S. Citizens only.

Hybrid schedule with onsite days during testing and a requirement to reside within commuting distance of Reston. A strong background in secure software development and Agile practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience building distributed software using modern open-source technologies.
• Strong frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue/React/Angular.
• Experience with Linux, Git, Jira, Confluence, and Artifactory.
• Experience with secure software development and Agile processes.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver modern secure software applications to enable the intel mission.
• Troubleshoot defects, deduce root cause, and implement mechanisms to prevent reoccurrence.
• Maintain software and create updates addressing customer and company concerns.
• Analyze and test code before merging and formal launch.
• Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements.
• Efficiently divide and conquer software development tasks with other developers.
• Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions.
• Support grooming of user stories, breakdown development tasks and estimate level of effort.
