Job summary

BigBear.ai is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to safeguard the information systems behind our generative AI platform used by government and commercial teams. You will manage Azure Government and Kubernetes, implement IaC, and support FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 compliance while collaborating with security engineers to maintain uptime and scalable operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on cloud experience, scripting, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Two years of cloud infra or IT operations experience.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure.
• Security+ or DoD IAT II certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows admin, IaC and CI/CD tooling.
• Able to pass background check and DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Azure Gov enclaves and Kubernetes clusters.
• Deploy, configure, test, and maintain OS and apps.
• Support availability targets and on-call rotation.
• Maintain backups, redundancy, and recovery procedures.
• Write scripts to automate tasks and improve monitoring.
• Provide 2nd level support and escalate incidents.
• Assist with security reviews, audits, and remediations.
• Contribute to runbooks and SOPs.
