Job summary

SMX is seeking Cloud Analysts (Junior/Mid/Senior) to design and implement secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure for the Air Force. You will translate requirements into cloud-native solutions, guide DevOps automation, and ensure interoperability across a diverse tech stack.

The role covers AWS GovCloud IL2–IL6 and multi-cloud stacks, with active Secret clearance; travel and DoD environments may apply. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 1 year experience for junior; bachelor’s or equivalent plus 3 years for mid; bachelor’s with 6 years for senior; master’s with 10 years for SME.
• Active Security Clearance required: Secret.
• Experience in enterprise-scale system integrations and automation.
• Experience across multiple enclaves and security domains.
• Familiar with cloud governance tools (Xacta, eMASS) and ATO processes.
• Able to document infrastructure diagrams and cloud migration strategies.
• Understanding of C4I systems.
• Knowledge of Windows operating environments.
• Experience with IBM Maximo MAS, IBM WebSphere, Red Hat OpenShift.
• DoD 8570 compliant: CompTia Sec+.

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional teams on enterprise cloud initiatives across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and Kubernetes in DoD environments.
• Assist in designing, architecting and optimizing secure cloud solutions in AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle.
• Understand cloud-native architectures for data integration, analytics, and automation.
• Support on-premises to cloud migration strategies.
• Provide support for cloud-based networks, computers, servers, appliances or other devices.
• Perform data network emulation/virtualization and planning for cloud solutions.
• Analyze security measures per Cloud Service Offering levels and FedRAMP.
• Knowledge of AWS GovCloud IL2–IL6; Azure, Google, Oracle also accepted.
• Support infrastructure security design, patching and ATO documentation.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with policies, cost controls and roadmaps.
• Interact with clients, peers, management and senior technical leads for a positive customer experience.
