Job Summary:

The Logistics Sections Leader will be responsible for supervising daily activities, monitoring department conditions, and engage in process improvement activity. Provides strategic leadership, guidance, and development to associates of the Supply Chain / Logistics Department to ensure activities meet targets and expectations while encompassing a vision for future business environment and change.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather department condition/Associate voice, daily information sharing to leaders
  • Identify safety, quality, abnormal situation, 5M1E, and staffing conditions with associate concerns that need to be raised up to COC
  • Daily plant priority and Asaichi meeting Genba
  • Participate in identifying items to raise up to top management and set plant daily priority with peers, evaluate and handle abnormal situations as they arise
  • Daily KPI review Genba and manage KPI trends
  • Improvement activity and review.Scope of activity can be determined by Leader and CoC, analyze trend and arrange action and necessary support for improvement
  • Visualize situation facts and timeline, oversee application of policy to correctly respond and control to the situation
  • Develop Team Leaders
  • Coaching, support IDP development and administration
  • Process audit (OMS, STD Work, 5S, Safety)
  • Perform applicable audits and observation (using camera system as it applies)
  • Manage WMS tasks, Shipping/ Rec visual tools
  • Understand hourly, each shift, daily, and weekly schedule attainment
  • Visualize Hot parts, hospital pallets, dropped parts
  • Lead investigations and corrective action development
  • Tour preparation and execution
  • Support material preparation and execution of plant tour as needed
  • Attend & participate in management Monthly Safety meetings, productivity meeting / EF meetings
  • Gather relevant information and share with his/her department for productivity/ EF improvements
  • Analyze forecast and evaluate department condition,
  • Project Department improvement activity
  • Create departmental annual and action plans
  • Based on quality plan, action plan, annual plan etc. organize support for and drive improvement activities
  • Responsible for Wh Layout/ MIFD Kaizen, EF Plan participation, DNA / QA Net rank up activity, and support any unplanned project work that may arise
  • Review QA Net and rank up, support activity and ensure progress
  • Responsible fo updating Kronos
  • Manage purchase requisitions, month end analysis and report in MMR (labor, expense, etc.), and fixed asset inventory
  • Complete performance reviews and address associate performance/behavior (AR Issues)

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of warehouse experience, including 4+ years of leadership experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to negotiate and provide input and recommendations both internally and externally.
  • Ability to coordinate and monitor a high level of activity as demonstrated under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  • Ability to comprehend complex instructions and respond effectively and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
  • Ability to work in a variety of adverse environmental conditions, such as heat, cold, noise, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient problem solving and creative thinking skills
