Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer as an individual contributor within a multi-disciplinary engineering team. Responsibilities include developing requirements, modeling, defining interfaces and analysis within an IPT structure.

The role collaborates across engineering disciplines to communicate capabilities and analyses with internal stakeholders and external customers, supporting modernization and sustainment efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years experience for Level 1 or a Master’s degree; Level 2 requires 2 years with Bachelor’s.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and SAP clearance.
• Experience with Python or scripting language.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements development, allocation, verification/validation planning and manage interface definition efforts.
• Write complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports.
• Support interface/communication with program, functional and subsystem leads.
• Maintain Systems Engineering artifacts with configuration management procedures.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to verify and validate artifacts.
• Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills to coordinate across IPTs and with customers.
• Synthesize data and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
