Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA, is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering Team on-site. The role supports design-to-manufacture decisions, tooling reviews, and process definitions to improve producibility and reduce costs while meeting security clearance requirements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree, experience in production assembly/fabrication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• Experience with assembly/fabrication in a production manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Active in-scope U.S Government Secret security clearance that has been granted/renewed within the past 5 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Engineering regarding manufacturability of designs.
• Participate in tool design reviews to reduce build times and costs during assembly.
• Define sequence of operations for product builds and identify improvements for producibility.
• Provide liaison support for Engineering to influence low production costs across electrical, hydraulics, fuels, and propulsion systems.
