Job summary

JT4 China Lake seeks an experienced Systems Administrator to manage system security, access control, configuration, and ensure hardware/software compatibility for stable workstation performance.

The ideal candidate will hold an active Secret clearance. The position is located at China Lake and is not eligible for telework, supporting Windows Server environments, LAN operations, and routine system upgrades under a federal contract.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher degree in Computer/Information Technology or equivalent training.
• 7+ years related experience in computer systems or IT.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain government security clearance.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operates MS Windows Server software including security, access and backups.
• Monitors LAN performance; troubleshoots networking hardware and ensures systems meet specs.
• Organizes directory structures and trains staff on department tools.
• Maintains DM/CM/DM release procedures and CA/CRL tracking logs.
• Designs functional, visually esthetic web pages and supports related web apps.
• Assists in hardware requirements specification and system upgrades across environments.
• POC for problem reporting and updates; supports transition from design to production environments.
• Provides operational status and follows policies with independent contribution.
