Job summary

JT4 China Lake is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Administrator to maintain system configurations and ensure cybersecurity posture while managing Windows-based servers and network systems at China Lake. The role requires an active security clearance and is not eligible for telework.

The candidate will oversee system security, backups, network monitoring, and documentation, while coordinating upgrades and improvements under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent experience.
• At least nine years of experience in computer system areas.
• Broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in computer science, graphics, and information systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates system specifications and configures systems for stability.
• Maintains workstations and Windows operating systems for reliable performance.
• Performs server operations, security, access, and backups.
• Monitors LAN performance and troubleshoots networking hardware.
• Documents management systems and release procedures.
• Provides operational status and supports system upgrades.
