Job summary

The System Administrator role in the Navy NETTN environment supports administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of Navy enterprise systems. It covers Windows Server admin, Group Policy, DHCP, patching, and STIG compliance, with training for junior staff and Tier 2 support.

Ideal candidates will have DoD STIG experience, VMware/VDI familiarity, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• US citizen with an active Security+ certification.
• U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019, AD, WSUS/SCCM, Windows 10 SHB, and patching.
• Experience implementing DoD STIGs.
• Experience with VMware and VDI technologies.
• Strong technical troubleshooting abilities and ability to understand complex information.
• Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Update, monitor, and maintain servers and workstations across the enterprise.
• Coordinate with network administrators to ensure smooth operation of multi-user systems.
• Interact with users and evaluate vendor products; recommend purchases and coordinate installation; provide backup recovery.
• Develop and monitor policies for computing resource allocation.
• Set up administrator and service accounts; maintain system documentation; tune performance; install system-wide software; manage mass storage.
