Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Network Control Technician to administer, maintain, and defend Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client, server, and networking infrastructure in support of modeling and simulation applications. The role requires coordination with multiple teams, Windows server administration, patching, and STIG compliance to protect DoD networks.

Qualified candidates will have a Secret clearance, Security+ or equivalent, VMware and SolarWinds

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field; 0 years with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
• Security+ or equivalent certification
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance
• Windows desktop operating systems (WIN11)
• Experience with Cisco switching/troubleshooting connectivity issues
• Experience digesting and implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
• Experience with patching Microsoft servers and workstations
• Experience with VMware
• Experience with network and performance monitoring tools (SolarWinds, etc.)
• Strong technical troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to quickly read, understand, and apply technical information
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong customer focus with the ability to balance multiple priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work in close coordination with other team members and departments to update, monitor and maintain servers, workstations, and network devices used throughout the enterprise.
• Perform Microsoft Windows client/server administration, maintenance, patching
• Configure systems in compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
• Other duties as assigned
• This role provides individuals with the ability to work independently and work within a team.
