Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical/Principal Electrical Engineer for the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. The role supports the FED team, focusing on facility power systems and weapon system integration with strong engineering leadership and collaboration across stakeholders.

Required are a STEM degree, DoD Secret clearance, and experience in electrical design and power-system tools. The position offers relocation support and a 9/80 schedule with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM from an accredited university with 2 years of experience, or 0 years with a Master’s degree.
• One level higher: Bachelor’s with 5 years, or 3 years with Master’s, or 0 with PhD.
• US citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain SAP approval within time frame.
• Experience with electrical and power-systems design/analysis, control systems, or engine/generator subsystems.
• Siemens Teamcenter PLM knowledge or equivalent.
• Power-system design/analysis tools ETAP, PSS/E, SKM, Easy/Power, PSCAD.
• Familiarity with industry codes, mil-specs.
• MS Office Suite proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support design requirements for electrical power generation, conversion and distribution systems and related deliverables.
• Attend program, customer and supplier meetings to provide or obtain progress updates.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate between facility electrical design and other integration teams.
• Integrate and document electrical system design for the weapon system.
• Research and evaluate electrical/electro-mechanical systems and power components.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to understand system interdependencies.
• Exhibit leadership principles such as integrity, respect and communication.
