Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies in Middletown, RI seeks a Physical Systems Engineer to support requirements development, design, fabrication, and documentation for multi-disciplinary systems including shipboard platforms and payloads.

The candidate will work both independently and within a small team, performing design iterations, analysis, and technical reporting. A Secret clearance is required and the role is onsite four days a week in Middletown, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US government clearance is required.
• Experience in organizing and executing multidiscipline system design and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, decompose, and produce methodologies to satisfy system requirements and objectives.
• Create and analyze designs using modeling tools (Solidworks, Matlab, Simulink, Ansys, etc.).
• Produce technical documentation including specifications, drawings, test procedures, and work instructions.
• Produce and maintain SWaP-C metrics spreadsheets.
• Interface with internal and external scientists, engineers, and program management.
• This role may require up to 10% domestic travel.
