Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies in Middletown, RI seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to navigate complex systems challenges, manage requirements, and drive verification strategies. This onsite role may include occasional domestic travel and requires an active Secret DoD clearance.

You will lead cross‑discipline teams, maintain baseline requirements, coordinate with design and test leads, and interface with external customers to ensure on‑time program success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
• Must have active and transferable U.S. government security clearance (Secret).

Responsibilities

• Lead program for managing system requirements.
• Develop and maintain requirements baseline in a database.
• Coordinate with design and test leads on verification plans.
• Interface with external customers and program management.
• Travel domestically up to 10%.
