Job summary

ASM Research is seeking a Network Administrator in Omaha, NE to build, support, and optimize LAN/WAN networks and related hardware and software. The role deploys and troubleshoots networks from small to medium scale, monitors performance, and escalates larger issues as needed.

The ideal candidate holds active DoD Secret clearance, CCNA and/or Network+ certifications, and 2–5 years of network experience with routers, switches, load balancers, and network security fundamentals.

Qualifications

Active DoD Secret clearance required.
Experience with routers, switches, load balancers, and WAN optimization.
Knowledge of testing, practices, and procedures.
Strong oral and written communication; detail-oriented.
CCNA and/or Network+ certifications required.
Experience with network security fundamentals.
2–5 years of network administration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
Install, configure, manage, and maintain network infrastructure devices as well as all related hardware and software.
Identify network needs and capabilities from an end-user perspective.
Monitor the network to maintain integrity and operability.
Deploy and troubleshoot small-scale to medium network deployments.
Conduct appropriate tests to ensure proper working condition of network systems.
Monitor network performance and perform intermediary restoration actions.
Oversee operations, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunications such as voice, video, and data transport and associated hardware.
