DEFTEC Corporation is seeking a junior Human Resources Support Specialist to assist the Contingency Operations Department at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Fort Belvoir, VA. The role involves tracking HR actions, onboarding, and supporting awards programs for Civilians and Military, with preparation of reports and presentations for senior leaders.

Ideal candidates will have a US citizenship, active Secret clearance, a high school diploma, and 5+ years in HR support within government,

Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Possess an active Secret security clearance.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years' experience in professional Government-agency, military, or corporate HR support.
Strong experience in civilian hiring processes, CONUS/OCONUS.
Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with accountability.
Clear, concise written communication and attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience coordinating reports, briefings, memoranda, and presentations.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt under minimal supervision.
Proficiency with MS Office applications (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project).

Responsibilities

Provide support tracking human resource actions for recruitment, onboarding, retention, and awards for Civilians and Military.
Assist with drafting, proofing, and submitting documentation for the DTRA workflow platforms.
Analyze and compile data into reports and presentations to support senior leadership decisions.
Assist with in-processing and out-processing employees and annual military evaluations.
