Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Clearfield, UT is seeking a Composite Bonder level 2/3 to join our Aeronautics Systems operations team. You will bond dissimilar materials, read blueprints, lay out components, and operate autoclaves, presses and ovens to complete bonding cycles.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, physical endurance, and flexibility to work shifts, including weekends. Primary salary ranges are provided with opportunities for overtime and a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 2+ years in composite fabrication or bonding.
• Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical work and lift up to 50 lbs.
• DoD Secret clearance required to start, or ability to obtain program access.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Lay out articles, cut parts, and apply bonding agents.
• Understand ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes.
• Operate autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens for bonding cycles.
• Set heat, pressure and timing controls per material specs.
• Sand, seal edges, and finish bonded areas.
• Monitor and verify quality of finished product.
• Perform repairs on bonded components per instructions.
