Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 2-years of relatable composite fabrication or bonding experience in manufacturing/production environment
• Must have current or prior lamination experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and special program access for advancements and opportunities
• This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces
• Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
• Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
• Must successfully complete and pass the New Hire Training / Compliance within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need
• Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical Exam, and able to obtain and maintain a respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Lay out articles, cuts parts or materials to size and apply liquid or solid bonding agents.
• Understanding of ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes
• Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycle.
• Control conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used.
• Sand, burs and smooth over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.
• Monitor and verify quality of finished product.
• Complete repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions. Verifies quality of finished product.
