Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corporation seeks a motivated Accountant for the Financial Services Restricted Program Accounting team. The role supports Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for classified programs and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders.

The position can be filled in Falls Church, VA or Redondo Beach, CA; on-site work only. Active Secret SCI clearance is required to support classified programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Active U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (CEP acceptable).
• Experience with Balance Sheet review, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash reporting, and Contract Administration.
• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal customers daily.
• Plan and process check runs for sensitive vendor payments within PO and contract terms.
• Prepare, review, and submit classified customer billings within terms and procedures.
• Reconcile outstanding payables and aged receivables.
• Monitor cash for classified government contracts and support treasury requirements.
• Prepare and post general journal entries.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Participate in special projects as needed.
