Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Technical Writer / Technical Editor in Roy, Utah, supporting the Sentinel program. This role focuses on writing, editing, and reviewing test plans and procedures, DIDs/CDRLs, and technical documentation to meet DoD standards.

Qualifications

• 2 Years of experience with a Bachelors degree; 0 Years with a Masters. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
• Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and advanced publishing tools (Adobe FrameMaker, Acrobat, Illustrator).
• Familiarity with Life Cycle Databases (CPLM, DOORS, CAMEO).
• Experience interpreting SDRLs, CDRLs, DIDs.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical documentation that complies with DoD standards and complex engineering requirements.
• Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and system description documents.

Responsibilities

• Write, rewrite and/or edit test plans and procedures utilized by the test team for test execution.
• Engage in working groups to support team goals, with responsibilities for technical writing tasks and maintaining related processes.
• Provide technical reviews of supplier SDRLs and write and deliver CDRLs in accordance with applicable DIDs.
• Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
