Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking Software Engineers to join the Global C2 Solutions unit. You will design, develop, integrate, test, and sustain mission-critical C2 software used by warfighters worldwide.

This role supports the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) on Agile teams, collaborating with software, systems, hardware and IT engineers to deliver robust, secure software solutions.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 1+ year of relevant experience for Associate Software Engineer; 2+ years for Software Engineer.
• Object-oriented software development experience in Java and C++.
• Experience with Linux-based development and runtime environments, including scripting with Bash and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications and software systems for Global C2 missions.
• Work in a fast-paced, diverse, collaborative environment across organizational levels.
• Participate on SAFe Scrum teams to develop and maintain software across baselines.
• Provide technical solutions to complex problems aligned with program objectives.
• Demonstrate adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies as mission needs evolve.
• Support testing activities including unit and functional testing, code coverage, and static analysis.
