Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Software Engineers to join the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit in Huntsville, AL. You will design, develop, test, and sustain mission‑critical C2 software used by warfighters worldwide.

This role emphasizes hands‑on development, collaboration across software, hardware, and IT teams, and Agile practices on SAFe teams. Familiarity with RTI/DDS middleware and security requirements is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Master’s; 1 year with a PhD.
• Strong object‑oriented software development experience in Java and C++.
• Proficiency with Linux development and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Experience with SAFe and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications for Global C2 missions.
• Collaborate in a fast‑paced, Agile environment across software, systems, and hardware teams.
• Participate on SAFe Scrum teams to develop software across multiple baselines.
• Provide technical solutions to complex problems aligned with program objectives.
• Support testing activities including unit and functional testing and code analysis.
