Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Software Engineers to join the Global C2 Solutions Business Unit in Huntsville, Alabama. You will design and prototype mission-critical C2 software used by warfighters worldwide, working on Agile teams to deliver robust, secure systems.

The role requires experience in Java and C++, Linux environments, and familiarity with DevSecOps, Git-based workflows, and SAFe Agile practices. U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and relevant experience.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Strong OO software development with Java and C++.
• Linux-based development and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and Git-based tools.
• Agile development using SAFe and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications for Global C2 missions.
• Collaborate in an Agile, integrated environment with software, systems, hardware, and IT engineers.
• Learn new technologies to meet evolving mission needs and deliver prototypes.
• Support rapid releases to demonstrate capabilities and mission readiness.
