Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT is seeking a Systems Engineer (level 2) / Principal Systems Engineer (level 3) to join the MS&A team and support Sentinel program efforts.

The role focuses on modeling, simulation, and analysis of networking, security, and latency requirements, with opportunities to work across subcontracts and program governance. A NASA-like environment with clearances and ongoing innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2+ years related experience; master's reduces years.
• Must be a US Citizen with active Secret Clearance, within scope.
• Must currently have and maintain SAP access on start date.
• Demonstrated experience with mathematical modeling and simulation.
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or related tools.
• Experience with command-and-control system analysis or design.
• Experience with network architecture and equipment configuration.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for system aspects like networking, security, and cybersecurity.
• Analyze command-and-control system latency, allocate budgets, and validate timing under nominal and stressed conditions.
• Perform networking analysis: link performance, latency, throughput, jitter, and packet loss; identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.
• Develop and manage hardware/software computing resource budgets for performance and scalability.
• Support database management and development activities.
• Support analysis for requirement decomposition and traceability.
• Support MBSE strategy and implementation.
• Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams for SOW compliance and governance.
• Contribute content for presentations and present to internal and external stakeholders.
