Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Property Business Operations Specialist to apply an accounting and finance lens to government property lifecycle. You will evaluate asset financial records, support audit readiness, and maintain accurate property accounting as materials are acquired, transferred, and disposed of.

The role offers benefits and requires U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one, along with 3+ years of accounting-related experience.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for all positions on this program.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one; Tier 3 background check eligibility.
• 3+ years of accounting, finance, property accounting, or audit support experience.
• Strong Excel and reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate material and asset financial records, capital improvement project records, and new procurements; identify issues and recommend corrections.
• Support FIAR and external audits with documentation and analysis.
• Reconcile receipt, acceptance, and goods-receipt transactions to support prompt payment.
• Prepare property accounting metrics and recommendations for Government approval.
